My name is Terry Atkinson. I am the owner of Xybornaut Multimedia.

My intent with Xybornaut Multimedia is help organizations develop and implement effective business and marketing strategies in this rapidly changing world.

As you no doubt appreciate, new technologies such as social media, SmartPhones and streaming media offer dynamic and interactive channels to reach out to your customers, prospects and partners, and have a meaningful dialog with them. But you need the right strategies, messages and tools to have the impact that you want.

My professional background is in technology marketing. I was with Cognos Corp. (now IBM) for 18 years, ending that relationship in 2008 when I started Xybornaut Multimedia.

With Cognos, I held management positions in product marketing, product management, development, and strategy, culminating in 5 years as the global industry director of government and education.

In 2008, I co-authored a book on performance management for government for Cognos/IBM. It has tremendous insights into how government and public sector organizations can make quantitive improvements in the way they do things.

As for my multimedia and artistic background, I am a long-time musician, photographer and artist. I have been recording in my own studio since the early '80s. In the new millenium, I transitioned to digital everything -- audio, photography and video. Since 2004, I have been using the web as a channel for my personal multimedia projects.

And what is a bio without educational background? I have MBA and Bachelor of Arts (economics) degrees from the University of British Columbia.
